The Willamette United Football Club is proud to announce that Jalissabeth Moreno and Grace Wilson are the recipients of the 2024 Willamette United College Scholarship. We are incredibly proud to call these two amazing players members of our organization. Congratulations and good luck with the next phase of your lives!
Jalissabeth, graduates from Tualatin High School with a 4.17 GPA and as a multi-year varsity soccer athlete. She was Team Captain for both her high school and club soccer teams while earning All-League Honorable Mention her Senior Year. Off the field, Jalissabeth excels in the classroom with being an Honor Roll Student as well as earning a Seal of Biliteracy. When Jalissabeth wasn’t playing soccer, she could still be found on the pitch coaching youth soccer so she could give the next generation of players the same fun-filled experience she had growing up. Jalissabeth will be attending Oregon State University in the Fall of 2024 to pursue her business degree.
Grace, graduates from Wilsonville High School with a 3.78 GPA and as a three sport athlete having played soccer, basketball, and softball. She helped the Wildcats earn two State Soccer Championships in 2022 and 2023 earning her Varsity Letter in both seasons. In the classroom, Grace was on the Honor Roll and a NW Oregon Scholar Athlete for all four years of school, as well being named to the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. Grace will be playing collegiate softball at George Fox University where she plans on earning her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology followed by graduating with her Doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy.
The goal of the Willamette United Football Club is to help nurture great people that just happen to play soccer. Jalissabeth and Grace exemplify the type of people we hope to help develop into responsible, civic-minded leaders who will contribute positively to their local and global communities. The scholarship committee would like to thank all of the amazing students that applied for the award and we wish them all the best of luck as they head to college.
