The Willamette United Football Club is proud to announce that Cassandra Wedin and Kyra Jeffrey are the recipients of the 2023 Willamette United Rodger Hepburn College Scholarship. We are incredibly proud to call these two amazing players members of our organization. Congratulations and good luck with the next phase of your lives!
Cassandra Wedin
Casandra, a Wilsonville Senior, graduates with a 4.0 GPA from Wilsonville High School with a decorated soccer career. Cassandra won back-to-back 5A Girls Soccer State Championships with Wilsonville High School in 2021 and 2022. Playing defender and midfielder, Cassandra was also awarded 5A All-League Honorable Mention in 2021 and 2022. She also won the Oregon State Cup with her Oregon Premier FC 2005 Girls team in 2022. In the classroom, Cassandra enrolled in AP courses and maintained a 4.0 throughout all four years. She also volunteered at the West Linn Food Bank and was a teaching assistant at Horizon Elementary. Cassandra will be attending St. Louis University in the Fall of 2023 to pursue occupational therapy.
Kyra Jeffrey
Krya, a West Linn Senior goalkeeper, graduates from West Linn High School with a 4.2 GPA and a four-year varsity soccer athlete. They led the West Linn High School Girls Soccer team to the 2022 6A Championship game in 2022 and received the 2022 Three Rivers League 2nd Team All-League Goalkeeper. Off the pitch, Kyra excels in the classroom with being named an AP Scholar in 2022 and a four-year honor roll student. Kyra is also an active community member by volunteering at nonprofit organizations, including SOLVE and Trailkeepers of Oregon. Kyra will be attending Oregon State University in the Fall of 2023 to pursue ecological engineering.
The goal of the Willamette United Football Club is to help nurture great people that just happen to play soccer. Casandra and Kyra exemplify the type of people we hope to help develop into responsible, civic-minded leaders who will contribute positively to their local and global communities. The scholarship committee would like to thank all of the amazing students that applied for the award and we wish them all the best of luck as they head to college.

Director’s Mortgage has made a generous donation every year for the last seven years. These funds help cover our annual college scholarship as well as countless registration scholarships!
