The Willamette United Football Club is proud to announce that George Krecklow and Sarah Esqueda are the recipients of the 2021 Willamette United Rodger Hepburn College Scholarship. We are incredibly proud to call these two amazing players members of our organization. Congratulations and good luck with the next phase of your lives!
George Krecklow, a Wilsonville Senior graduates with a decorated soccer career and a GPA of 4.1. On the field George anchored the Wilsonville men’s high school team in goal. He was an all league goalkeeper and lead the Wildcats to the State Championship Game in 2019. George was a starter on the decorated 2003 OPFC Academy team. He is an Eagle Scout and Rotary volunteer and he participated in Wilsonville’s WERK Day for 10+ years. George will attend Oregon State University in the fall.
Sarah Esqueda, a West Linn Senior graduates with a 4.00 GPA and she is an Honor Student. Sarah participated in Willamette United’s Co-Ed Recreational Soccer program and she volunteered at the West Linn Food Bank weekly for almost five years. She will be attending Oregon State University where she plans on studying sport’s psychology and participating in the Beaver intramural soccer program!
The goal of the Willamette United Football Club is to help nurture great people that just happen to play soccer. George and Sarah exemplify the type of people we hope to help develop into responsible, civic-minded leaders who will contribute positively to their local and global communities. The scholarship committee would like to thank all of the amazing students that applied for the award and we wish them all the best of luck as they head to college.

Director’s Mortgage has made a generous donation every year for the last six years. These funds help cover our annual college scholarship as well as countless registration scholarships!
